KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Dr. Joshua Mezrich (8:35am-9:20am)

Dr. Mezrich received his medical doctorate from Cornell University Medical College in 1997. He did his Surgical Residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals, a research fellowship at the Transplantation Biology Research Center in Boston, and a transplantation fellowship at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. He specializes in liver and kidney transplants. He also is the author of When Death Becomes Life: Notes from a Transplant Surgeon, which tells the incredible history of transplant surgery along with interesting current-day stories. 

Dr. William Campbell (9:30AM-10:15AM)

Dr. Campbell received both his undergraduate and his medical doctorate from UW-Madison (where all of his kids have also attended or currently attend). He completed a residency in anesthesiology at MCW. He is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the Milwaukee area, including Aurora Medical Center in Washington County and Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. He has been practicing anesthesiology for over twenty years. 

Dr. Dena Green (2:15pM-3:00PM)

Dr. Green received her medical doctorate from the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). She completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at MCW as well. As a specialist in palliative care, her focus of care is on “patients with chronic and life limiting-illnesses and their families.” She encourages a variety of methods of healing, including physical, psycho-social, and spiritual aspects. Helping patients and their families develop goals and then manage their pain to achieve them is a major part of her work.
